Sunday 8/1 – Ride to Elmendorf Air Force Base to watch Arctic Thunder Air Show
The ride is scheduled for Sunday 8/1. If you would like to go to breakfast first, some people are meeting @ Mat Su Family Restaurant around 8 – 8:30 am. We will leave there by 9:30 and stop by DHD to pick up any others that want to join in. We will leave Denali Harley Davidson at 10 A.M. If you have any questions, give me a call or e-mail.
If you have a reflective vest – please bring it, and any extras that you might have. We will have some available for those that don’t have one. They are required to get on base. Also required are helmets, registration, proof of insurance, & ID. They may or may not check for them. Coolers, large bags, & pets are NOT allowed. You can bring a lawn chair, but please don’t bring a bag for it as you will be required to open it up. Make sure to bring your camera & binoculars.
The Canadian Snowbirds perform at 1 pm and the Blue Angels at 3:45. There are many other performances, aircraft displays, food vendors, etc. There was a full schedule of events in the Sunday Anchorage Daily News. The ride home will be on your own whenever you are ready to leave.
